Pine Cliff is open with social distancing so we will be holding our annual excursion in the Eastern Sierra. Some spaces are still available.
A glorious eight-day camping adventure dedicated to the creative process, nurtured by the mountain air. There will be intensive focus on your writing, while exploring the eastern side of the California Sierra Range. We create a small and dedicated community of writers and provide side trips to Mono Lake, Bodie Ghost Town, hiking, the hot springs that abound in the region, plus the annual Perseid meteor shower - there's room for it all in this workshop! Side trips are scheduled each year based on the interests of our writers and the region provides many more possible adventures.
At June Lake, with the snow-clad Sierra as a backdrop among the pines and boulders strewn along the ridges, intrepid writers will create a positive, supportive, dynamic community in the wilderness. As the instructor, Clive will draw on many years’ experience helping writers merge words with the power of their creative unconscious. Writers will sprawl across our campsite with notebooks and laptops and go deep into favorite projects, or ease into discovery of something new, encouraged by the birdsong and sway of the pines. Even the occasional deer and other wildlife stroll through the campsite, which is provided with all amenities, including electrical hookups, showers, laundry room, and a general store.
Cost is $700, $400 for catered meals and campsite, $300 for instruction. Non-writers are welcome for $400. A great place for artists and photographers too.
