The Wordswell Crazy Child Scribbler is published by Clive Matson four times a year in hard copy as well as online. Guest editors choose the themes and any writer may submit online. Originally the work of students attending Clive Matson's workshops, submissions are now open and welcome to all. Submissions remain copyrighted by the authors, all rights reserved. Reproduction requires author consent.
About the Scribbler
Each issue is edited by a Guest Editor under the guidance of the Editor-in-Chief, DeWayne Dickerson, with the assistance of Production Manager Jean Hohl. Founder and Editor Emeritus is Craig Heath.
We are committed to printing a wide variety of energetic writing coming from our youth and from others all the way up to our elders, in all their various styles.
A theme is determined by the Guest Editor and solicitations made for submissions. Poetry and short pieces, both fiction and non-fiction, are accepted. If your piece is published, you receive three hard copies of the Scribbler for you and friends. Occasionally, poems by past great poets are included.
Subscriptions
Workshop participants receive the Scribbler for two years and for as long thereafter as the recipient shows interest. If you are interested in receiving copies of the Scribbler, please use the contact form below to send us your name and mailing address.
Donations
The Wordswell Crazy Child Scribbler is funded strictly by donations which are tax-deductible, under the WordSwell 501c. If you would like to donate to keep The Scribbler going, use the contact form below.
Submissions and Editorial Policies
Basic Acceptance Policy: If the current editor likes a piece, it gets published; if not, it is passed on to the next editor who will either use it, or return it to the author. All rights are reserved.
